Redford To Tread The Boards Again?Screen Legend In Talks To Star In All My Sons Revival
Robert Redford is in talks to star in the revival of Arthur Miller's classic play, All My Sons.
According to the New York Post, Robert Redford is interested in returning to the Broadway stage after a 40-year absence. He last appeared in New York in Neil Simon's Barefoot In The Park. Emanuel Azenberg is interested in producing the play that premiered almost 60 years ago, in 1947. It was directed by Elia Kazan, and starred Ed Begley and Karl Malden. All My Sons tells the story of a man who sold defective airplane parts to the Army, which caused the planes to crash and kill 21 men. His crime, which he long had deflected by blaming his business partner, now comes back to light as his son plans to wed the partner's daughter. Redford has also appeared on Broadway in Sunday In New York, Little Moon of Alban, The Highest Tree and Tall Story. No casting or artistic staff have been connected to the production.
