Sir Peter Halls' Production Begins Previews October 3rd

Peter Hall celebrates the 50th Anniversary of his original London staging of Samuel Beckett's masterpiece by bringing it back in an all-new production.

Waiting For Godot premiered in Paris in 1953, and it was Peter Hall that brought the play to english speaking audiences in London in 1955 at London's Art Theatre. The anniversary production was delayed because of the Barbican Centres recent season tribute to Beckett, but is now set to begin previews on October 3rd, working towards an October 9th opening at the New Ambassadors Theatre.

This latest variation of the work features James Laurenson as Vladimir, Alan Dobie as Estragon, Richard Dormer as Lucky and Terence Rigby as Pozzo. Directed by Peter Hall, who after directing the english language premiere of Godot, founded the Royal Shakespeare Company.
